Alexis Sanchez - Co-Founder

My background is primarily in accounting, and while I don’t hold a formal degree, that hasn’t deterred me from pursuing continuous learning and growth. Working with startups provided me with invaluable insights into running and launching a business. Early on, I realized that traditional schooling wasn’t my path, but I refused to let the absence of a degree hold me back.

Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, I aspired to be my own boss and create something that people would love and find useful. I knew I couldn’t embark on this journey alone. That’s why I reached out to close friends who I consider brothers. Each of them brings a unique set of skills that are crucial to the success of Onyx Chicago LLC. I’m excited to navigate this adventure with them by my side.

Eric Sarpong - Co-Founder

I am a first-generation immigrant and business professional with a B.A. in Business Administration focused on International Business and over a decade of management experience. Based in Chicago, IL, I bring a wealth of expertise in operations management, logistics, and strategic planning. At JB Hunt Transport Services, I lead a high-performing team, manage assets worth $1.7 million, and oversee critical functions such as TMS routing, compliance, and financial reporting.

My previous role as an Air Electronics Operations Controller in the US Marine Corps honed my leadership skills and operational acumen. As the first in my family to achieve these milestones, I am dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence in all my endeavors.



Phillip Swire - Co-Founder

With a self-taught background in technology and a track record of self-employment, I’ve worked on diverse projects ranging from website development to quality-of-life enhancements for video game servers. While I may not have a formal education, my commitment to continuous learning reflects the ever-evolving nature of the tech industry.

My passion for contributing to meaningful ventures drives me, and I’m enthusiastic about what we’re building here at Onyx Chicago LLC. Working alongside some of the most resourceful, smart and driven people I know is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Nicholas Neuhauser - Co-Founder
Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, I left college in my first year to pursue a more fulfilling path. After working to better my life, I enlisted in the Marine Corps, where I’ve proudly served in the Reserves for the past eight years. My journey has been shaped by discipline and resilience, both in and out of uniform.

I’ve been passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost five years, a sport that taught me the value of strategy and perseverance. Basketball is another favorite pastime, keeping me active and competitive.

My fascination with technology has always driven me. The idea of being my own boss and building something from the ground up has long been a personal goal. I’m constantly exploring new opportunities to turn my passions into ventures.
